Thoughts on a photographer's creative life
Bruce Percy has been writing about the creative process since 2009 on his blog. He likes to discuss his inner observations and thoughts on how to live a creative life.
This podcast is an audio version of his blog. The podcasts may sometimes be infrequent, or too frequent. They may be long or they may be short. Think of it as a creative diary.
Bruce has an established body of work from around the world, and has published six photographic monographs about the landscapes he has gotten to know so well.
He runs yearly workshops and tours to Chilean Patagonia, the Puna de Atacama of Argentina, Bolivia's altplano, the sand dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses in Brazil, the graphic and vast desert interior of Iceland, the winter landscapes Hokkaido and the highlands of Scotland.
When he's not travelling, he lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.

We all start in someone else's footsteps, but at some point, we must begin to look for our own voice in the landscape. In this podcast, I discuss the process of finding one's unique artistic voice in landscape photography. I begin by acknowledging that most photographers start by emulating the work of others they admire. However, I wish to emphasise that true artistic growth comes from moving beyond emulation and discovering one's own distinct perspective and style.
